Srujna Charitable Trust is a nonprofit organisation empowering women and improving their quality of life in India since 2011. With its holistic and sustainable approach towards women’s empowerment, the organisation has transformed the lives of over 1.6 lakh women affected by poverty, abuse, and human trafficking.

Recently, in September 2022, Srujna implemented Project Laxmi, a financial literacy awareness program for women. This project aims to educate women about financial literacy, budgeting, and saving, enabling them to make informed decisions about their finances and take control of their financial futures.

‘Just earning an income won’t suffice anymore. Women have been the financial planners of the house, maintaining budgets for ages. Now is the time we train to be financially smart to invest,’ says Jyotika Sehra, CEO and Co-founder of Srujna Charitable Trust.

The project will help women better manage family finances, control their spending, create savings habits, and save for significant goals like education and retirement.

Srujna believes this project will give women a more significant say in their family’s financial decisions, eventually leading to financial freedom. This program will be implemented through short videos that women can watch at their convenience, curated by some of the best consultants in the field of training and finance. Thanks to the financial support provided by Experian Credit Information Company Of India Private Limited, Srujna provided 52070 women through 1147 awareness sessions.

Srujna has been featured in leading newspapers nationwide for its exemplary work on the ground and received awards such as the ‘TSS Social Enterprise Global Award’ at TiE Sustainability Summit 2021 and the ‘Transparency Key’ by GuideStar. It was a full house with members from the Industry and allied sectors, stakeholders, faculty, alumni and guests present for this event. Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi was the Chief Guest along with the Guest of Honour, Mr. Rajendra Tapadia, CEO & Managing Director, Safepack Industries Limited & Special Guest, AVPS Chakravarthi, Global Ambassador, World Packaging Organization (WPO). The event also witnessed a special Panel Discussion on Sustainable Packaging Towards Green Future: Challenges & Expectation where leading industry experts shared their thoughts and vision. Shekhar Amberkar,  Assistant Director – Estb. & Head — International Packaging Centre was the Master of Ceremonies.

Inspired by Hon Shri Piyush Goel,  Min of Textile, Min of Commerce and Industry,  Min of Affairs, Food & Public Distribution. For the uninitiated, The Indian Institute of Packaging is an autonomous and apex body working under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India for promotion of packaging standards in the country since 1966. With its headquarter and the principal laboratories in Mumbai and other regional offices and laboratories in Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Ahmedabad, the activities of the institute are in line with those of the world’s premiere packaging Institutes. The institute is closely linked with all the international organizations concerned with packaging technologies.

IIP’s activities include Laboratory testing, Quality evaluation of packaging material and packages, Consultancy services and Projects, Package design and Market Studies, Training courses and Educational progammes viz. Diploma courses, correspondence courses, Executive development programmes and many more, Research & Development, Information Services and Publications,  Organizing Seminars and Conferences at National & International level, Organizing International and National Packaging Exhibitions viz. INDIAPACK & INDPACK, Conducting National Awards for excellence in package design and technology viz. INDIASTAR & PACMACHINE Awards and Membership Services among others.

The Institute has trained 36,000 packaging professionals through various short-term and long-term courses. More than 10,000 Packaging professionals are trained through Certificate Programme in Packaging since 1968. More than 6000 students are qualified through two years Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Packaging since 1985 and all are absorbed in MNCs in India and abroad.

About 5000 Packaging professionals are trained through Distance Education Programme (DEP) since 1996. Around 15,000 industry personnel are trained through National / International seminar/workshops. The Institute has provided consultancy services to more than 1,000 industries to improve packaging operations, cost optimization and automation.

The Institute has formulated 82 packaging specifications for exportable commodities on behalf of APEDA, Spices Board, Tea Board, and various Ministry departments, Govt. of India. IIP has implemented the digitalization process for the issue of UN Certificates for packaging of Dangerous Goods by all its centres. Issued more than 11,000 certificates per year for exporters.

 “Take a step towards sustainability, promote Community Boilers” – Vishal S. Bhudia, M.D. at Steam House.

The steam boiler industry in India has been a significant contributor to the country’s economic growth. With the growth of industries such as power generation, oil and gas, and chemical, the demand for steam boilers has increased substantially. However, steam boilers are one of the significant contributors to air pollution in India.

Steam boilers emit various pollutants such as nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO), and particulate matter (PM). These pollutants can cause respiratory problems, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer, among other health hazards. The emissions from steam boilers have a significant impact on the environment, including air pollution, acid rain, and global warming.

To reduce the emissions from steam boilers, community boilers have emerged as a sustainable solution. Community boilers are centralized boilers that are installed in a central location to provide steam to multiple buildings. Community boilers are designed to be highly efficient and emit significantly lower pollutants compared to individual steam boilers. The centralized location of community boilers enables better control and monitoring of emissions, which can be beneficial in reducing pollution. Community boilers are designed to run on alternate fuels which will not only reduce harmful emissions but will also reduce the economies spent on coal by the industries. The use of biomass as fuel can also provide a sustainable solution to India’s energy needs, as it reduces the dependence on fossil fuels.

Mr. Syed Algazi has been officially appointed as, India’s youngest Hon. Consul General of Republic of Liberland in India for 3 years. His tenure begins with immediate effect from May 11th 2023 in the city of Hyderabad with the consular district including the entire territory of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States.

 

The official appointment ceremony is being held in London on 18th May 2023 at Millennium Gloucester Hotel, Kensington, London, UK in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Secretary of State and Deputy Lieutenant (DLs) greater London, House of Lords members and many dignitaries from across the globe followed by 2 ceremonies in Delhi and Hyderabad respectively for Indian officials and Consulates of different countries.

 

Republic of Liberland is a sovereign state in Southeast Europe surrounded by other 11 Balkan countries in Europe. It has more than 105 representative offices, embassies and consulates across the globe includes UK, USA with more than 7 million further citizenship requests from all across the globe. A Multi- Million Dollar state-of-the-art Consulate of Republic of Liberland in Hyderabad Telangana has already begun its 6-storey construction work with a ground breaking ceremony in 2023 with 20 thousand square feet area for many international businesses and incubators for Europe, UAE, Philippines, UK, USA to connect with Liberland. This will be a significant development for the Liberland – India Diplomatic and strategic partnership and will create jobs. 

 

H.E. Mr. Syed Algazi will be flying to Delhi soon to meet the officials to present his credentials as the Hon. Consul General of Republic of Liberland in India and to discuss various bilateral trade, business, recognition, collaborations and diplomatic relations between both countries. 

 

H.E. Mr. Syed Algazi will also be meeting the officials of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States, as well the Consulate Generals of different countries in India to discuss and promote bilateral trade, business, investment, arts, cultural, films, sports, youth, tourism, diplomatic relations for Republic of Liberland. 

A consular team for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will be selected by H.E. Mr. Syed Algazi from India to be appointed from the bracket of top entrepreneurs, bureaucrats, HNWI and highly experienced achievers for day-to-day Consulate functioning for Diplomatic relationship with different countries.

About H.E. Mr. Syed Algazi Hon. Consul General:  

H.E. Mr. Syed Algazi belongs to the Royals and Great Nobles family of Hyderabad. He is the Great Grandson of Nawab Fakhr ul Mulk Bahadur who built great Palaces (Errum Manzil Palace) Monuments (Tomb of Nawab Fakhr  ulk Mulk – known as the Taj Mahal of Hyderabad Deccan, Nizam Collage and many other Palaces around Hyderabad  Deccan. He is also the Great Grandson of Salar Jung III (Maternal) and Nephew of Prince Mouzam Jah, 2nd Son of 7th Nizam. 

 

He is the Alumni of Rashtriya Military School Bangalore 1986 batch.  

H.E. Mr. Syed Algazi has been invited twice at the Presidents Estate, Rashtrapati Bhavan Delhi for his wonderful, selfless, humanitarian and dedicated services towards the Indian Armed Forces & Martyrs families all across the globe.  

He started his entrepreneur’s journey at the very young age of 16 in 1986. He provided employment to number of boys at that time who were unable to meet the ends.  

He has been awarded as the youngest entrepreneur of Andhra Pradesh in 1987 by the Indian Chamber of Commerce at Bhaskar Palace (Present day – Care Hospital).  

 

He is also the recipient of the Rajiv Gandhi award for his services towards Indian Armed Forces, Martyrs and their families’ initiatives and food drive campaigns across the globe. 

He is also the first civilian in the history of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to be awarded by the high rank Army officials at HQ 35 Infantry Brigade Vasant Vihar New Delhi for his services towards Indian Armed Forces, Martyrs and their families all across India. 

He is credited for creating the first ever Digital War Memorial in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh history by a Cadet.  

 

H.E. Mr. Syed Algazi became the 1st personality in the history of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to be awarded Sir Syed Ahmad Award by the Aligarh University Council for his contribution to the nation, Martyrs families and social work all across India. 

He is also credited for the initiative of forming the Telangana Police Youth Club. This initiative is to connect students and eliminate crime. Lakhs of students will get connected with this initiative was launched in Hyderabad on 18th March 2018.

He has been a UAE resident and investor since 2006.He is also the founder of Braveheart Martyrs Foundation and has been serving Indian Armed Forces Martyrs families, war widows (Veer Naris) war veterans through his Patriotic foundation Braveheart Martyrs Foundation and have been honouring them all across the globe in a program called” GOLDEN SALUTE”. He is also the Chairman and Managing Director of “N. F. Constructions since 1991 and has his presence in 14 countries.
