Organized by All India Institute of Medical Sciences –<\/strong> AIIMS, New Delhi<\/strong>, with support from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Centre of Excellence<\/strong>\u2014a collaborative initiative between AIIMS and IIT Delhi in Neuro-Engineering<\/strong>\u2014and in partnership with Stratasys and Altem Technologies<\/strong>, leaders in the global 3D printing industry, the two-day event brought together renowned medical professionals, engineers, and industry experts to explore the transformative potential of 3D printing in healthcare.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The workshop offered a diverse lineup of sessions focusing on 3D printing applications in surgical education, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, and biomedical engineering. Attendees participated in interactive panel discussions, hands-on demonstrations, and a 3D printing design competition, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Highlighting the Role of 3D Printing in Healthcare<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Dr. Ashish Suri<\/strong>, Professor of Neurosurgery at AIIMS, highlighted the critical role of 3D printing in advancing neurosurgical simulation and device development:<\/span><\/span>
\u201c3D printing has transformed how we approach complex brain and spine surgeries. By enabling the creation of precise anatomical models and neurosurgical devices, we can simulate procedures, enhance training, and improve patient outcomes. Integrating such technologies is vital for the future of neurosurgical education.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Mr. Rajiv Bajaj<\/strong>, Managing Director of Stratasys India & Southeast Asia, underscored the transformative power of 3D printing in healthcare:<\/span><\/span>
