After completing his graduation in Science, Dil pursued a Bachelor of Journalism degree from IGNOU. As Dil has been interested in reporting environmental concerns/issues, he completed M.Sc. EVs from HNB Garhwal University, Uttarakhand. 

Dil completed Masters in Journalism & Mass Communication from Swami Vivekananda University in 2022-2023 also.
